Agostino Superbo

Agostino Superbo was an Italian Roman Catholic prelate who dedicated his life to religious service within the church. Born and passing away at the age of 86, he held several prominent leadership positions throughout his ecclesiastical career. His pastoral service included tenure as the bishop of the Diocese of Sessa Aurunca from 1991 to 1994 and the Diocese of Altamura-Gravina-Acquaviva delle Fonti from 1994 to 1997. He later advanced to serve as the archbishop of the Archdiocese of Potenza–Muro Lucano–Marsico Nuovo from 2001 until his retirement in 2015. Through these significant appointments, Agostino Superbo left a lasting impact on the Italian Catholic communities he faithfully led. His decades of dedicated service as a bishop and archbishop remain the cornerstone of his ecclesiastical legacy.
